Mr. Browne, Auggie's English teacher, writes the word PRECEPTS on the board during the first class. He goes on to explain that

"PRECEPTS = RULES ABOUT REALLY IMPORTANT THINGS."

Mr. Browne's September precept is

"When given the choice between being right or being kind, choose kind." ~Dr. Wayne W. Dyer

Today you get to start a new section in your journal titled "Precepts." Write down Mr. Browne's precepts for September and October, but also write down any precepts you might hear or read. You might even come up with your own precept. Keep writing precepts in your journal each lesson.
