Resources Needed for the Magic Dust Projects:

You will need the following supplies for projects listed throughout the course. You do not have to complete each project. Choose those you think would be interesting or fun.

Project 1, Lightning Strike

• A dark room
• A small plate
• A metal spoon
• A wool sock or a piece of wool fabric
• A balloon
  

Project 2, Create an Earthquake

• Jello
• Toothpicks
• Marshmallows
  

Project 3, Ice

• Ice cubes (same size for each test)
• Insulating materials to test (Choose 3-6):
  • Aluminum foil
  • Paper towels
  • Fabric (wool, fleece, or cotton)
  • Plastic wrap
  • Styrofoam
  • Cotton balls
  • Bubble wrap
• Closed Jar
• Bowl
• Rubber bands
