Go Outside on an Adventure: Clover Hunt
Clover Hunt
It’s the perfect time of year for a little luck! Let’s head outside and see if you can find some clover growing near you.
Go outside to a grassy area: maybe your yard, a park, or a nearby field.
Look closely at the green plants growing low to the ground.
- Now that you know what clover is, see if you can find a patch of clover.
- What shape are the leaves—round, heart-shaped, or oval?
- Do you notice any flowers growing among the clover?
- And of course… did you find a four-leaf clover?
- Take out your Nature Journal and record what you observe. If you find any clover, tape one into your journal or make a sketch. Make sure to label your sketches and include the date and time.
🕵️♀️ Try This:
Count how many leaves you find on each clover patch. Do you see any patterns?
(And if you find a four-leaf clover, make a wish!)
