- Shoebox or other small cardboard box
- Mini plastic farm animals
- Brown and black paint
- Black marker
- Wax paper
- Shredded brown or yellow paper
- 4-8 Craft sticks
- Glue
Project 3, Paint a Spider Web
- Black construction paper
- Chalk pastels in: White, Red, Blue, Pink, Light Blue, Orange
Project 4, Cricket Study
- Cricket from a pet store
- Nature journal page
- Flashlight
- Pencils
Project 5, Shade Experiment
- 2 Thermometers
- Shady spot outside
- Observation sheet
