For this book club, we will be using the book The Case of the Missing Marquess (An Enola Holmes Mystery) by Nancy Springer.

You can purchase it in digital, paperback, hardcover, and audio formats. It is also available at many local libraries. This is the only book you will need for this book club.

You will also need a notebook for your notes, copywork, dictation, and journaling.

Note to the Parent:

This mystery adventure features mild peril, suspense, and brief references to violence, typical of a detective story, but nothing graphic. There is no profanity, sexual content, or slurs. The book includes themes of independence, clever problem-solving, and gender expectations in Victorian England. Overall, it’s an engaging and age-appropriate read for upper elementary and middle school students who enjoy mysteries with a strong, resourceful main character.
