Engage Your Kids During The Holidays With Great Literature at … CHRISTMAS LIT CAMP! Give your kids the opportunity to meet new friends and enjoy a charming Christmas camp based on the classic Christmas novel, A Christmas Carol.

November 27 (10:30 CST), Kickoff: Let's start off with a bang! We'll meet live and get to know our new book for the holidays! We'll have fun with our friends from Music in Our Homeschool with music and Masterpiece Society with art.

November 28-December 4 Week 1: We start our book club! You will follow the printable lesson plan that has been created. Use it the way it's set up or make it work for you and your family. The week will include reading, copywork, vocabulary, fun rabbit trails about Victorian England and ornaments, and we will finish up using our imaginations to conjure up the Ghost of Christmas Past in our sketching journals.

December 5 (1:00 pm CST), First Live Book Club: Today, we'll meet up to discuss the book. We'll start with a ghostly visualizations using the amazing Dickens descriptions. We'll talk about Dicken's style of writing and make some Victorian ornaments!

December 6-11, Week 2: Check out the lesson plan for this week's activities! This week will include reading, copywork, vocabulary, fun rabbit trails about money, food, and more. We'll finish up by sketching more characters and playing a British parlor game!

December 12 (1:00 pm CST), Second Live Book Club: Let's talk about what happened in our reading this week, add a few more visualizations, and learn about descriptive language. Today we might even play one of the parlor games with our camp friends!

December 13-18, Week 3: When you check out this week's plan, you will find: reading, copywork, vocabulary, fun rabbit trails about holiday food, staves, and more sketching. We'll finish up by serving others!

December 19 (1:00 pm CST), Party School!: Every online book club must end with a PARTY SCHOOL!! That's right, we'll meet via Zoom to celebrate with food, decorations, and some more activities! We'll talk about the book - what we loved and what we hated! We'll finish up by writing our revised scene and say goodbye to our friends, the ghosts!

Mr. Willowby's Christmas Tree Online Book Club ~ A Nature Book Club

Your kids will love this charming story and will have fun following the rabbit trails of discovery about evergreen trees, deciduous trees, and more, all while sprinkling a touch of magic in the air and engaging in hands-on adventures. After turning the final page, we'll get together for a live book club celebrating Mr. Willowby and his tree!
