For this book club, we will be using the book Little House in the Big Woods by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
You can purchase it in digital, paperback, hardcover, and audio formats. It is also available at many local libraries. This is the only book you will need for this book club.
You will also need a notebook for your notes, copywork, dictation, and journaling.
Parent Note:
This pioneer story contains historical depictions of hunting, animal butchering, and frontier life, described factually rather than graphically. There is no profanity or inappropriate content. Some cultural references reflect the language and attitudes of the 1800s and may prompt family discussion. The book highlights self-reliance, family, and gratitude, making it a valuable historical read for elementary students. For your reference, we have linked Plugged In's review.
