Resources Needed for the Magic Dust Projects:

Project 1, Watercolor Dawn Sky

• Watercolor paper
• Watercolor paint set
• Paintbrushes (a wide brush for washes and a finer brush for details)
• Two containers of water (one for washing brushes and one for clean water)
• Paper towels or a rag for blotting
• Masking tape
• Pencil and eraser
• A board or surface to tape your paper onto

Project 2, Card of Kindness

• Paper or a blank card
• Pen or pencil
• Envelopes
• Stamps (if you plan to mail your letter)
• Markers, stickers, or any other decorative items you'd like to use to personalize your card

Project 3, Play With Fire

• Candle: Any standard candle will do.
• Copper wire: coiled into a tight spiral.
• Round glasses: These can be any glasses with a round opening.
• Square box or object: Anything with a square shape that is a similar size to the candle
• Lighter: To light the candle. (Ensure an adult is present for this part.)
• Baking soda: We’ll use this for a chemical reaction.
• Vinegar: This will react with the baking soda to produce carbon dioxide.
