• Write down any passages that have special meaning to you in your notebook. If you are willing, share one here in the comments!
• As you are reading, make a character list. This book is long, and the Russian names are unfamiliar, so a list with a short description of the importance of that character will help you as the story builds.
• Also, during your reading, write down the central characters' names and phrases from the story that describe them.
