Magic Dust: Create Grinch Ornaments

The Grinch stole the tree and all the ornaments. Let's create some Grinchy Ornaments.

There are several options you can choose from below, or choose one.

For the first project, you will need the following:

  • Clear, plastic bulb ornaments
  • Pom poms in a variety of green shades, sizes, and textures
  • Red oil-based marker

Absolutely adorable Grinch homemade Christmas ornament craft!

Here's a super simple Grinch themed Christmas ornament for kids to make. It only requires a few materials and can be done in just one sitting. It's perfect for kids of all ages, including toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners and on up! This post contains affiliate links.

For the second project, you will need the following:

  • Clear, plastic bulb ornaments
  • Green paint
  • Red felt
  • Scissors
  • Glue or Hot Glue

Directions:

  1. Open the plastic ornament.
  2. Drop a small amount of green paint into the ornament.
  3. Swirl around until paint is covering the inside of the ornament.
  4. Place upside down on a paper plate to dry.
  5. When dry, place the top on the ornament.
  6. Cut a heart out of the red felt.
  7. Glue the heart onto the front of the ornament.

For this ornament, you will need the following:

  • Clear plastic ornament
  • Green candy; (Sixlets, Jelly Beans, M&M’s, or any other green candy around the same size that will fit through the opening of the ornament)
  • Twine
  • Red heart (Wood, felt, card stock, or foam hearts)
  • Red paint — if you don't purchase a ready-made heart
  • Glue
