Magic Dust: Think Like Malala

We often read stories about fictional characters and try to get inside the author's mind to discover what the character thinks and believes. In this story, our main character is a real person who is an ongoing advocate for girls' and women's rights around the world.

Today, let's try to get into the mind of Malala. What does she think and feel? Who is she?

For this project, you will need:

  • Colored pencils or markers
  • Paper

In today's project, try to focus on what you know of Malala. These views may change as you read the book, so you may want to come back and look at this at the end of the month.

  1. In the middle of your paper or notebook, sketch a quick drawing of Malala. This can be a simple stick figure.
  2. Surrounding Malala, finish these sentences about her.
  • I believe...
  • I see...
  • I feel...
  • I hear...
  • I dream...
  • I need...
  • I wish...
  • or add your own sentence.

Share your drawings with us in the comments.
