Go outside to your yard or a park nearby.

• Study the animals that live in your area. What do they look like? How do they behave? What type of home do they live in?
• Do you see any turtles or tortoises? How about birds? Do you see large animals or small animals?
• Take out your sketchbook and sketch something you see today in your yard. Make sure to label your sketches and include the date and time.
• Look for rocks that might look like a turtle's shell. Take a few home for your magic dust project.
