• As you read, write down any sentences or paragraphs that you like or have special meaning to you in your journal.
• Please pay attention to any words or phrases you don't understand and write them in your journal. Look up the meanings of these words.

Learn:

• Learn about motif by reading the definition and examples in the link below.

• Write the definition in your notebook.
• As you are reading, look for examples of motif. Motif is sometimes hard to find early in a book. You might not notice until the second week of reading. You will be making a list of motifs and including page numbers so you can find them again easily.
