In chapter 2, Saroo writes about kite flying and hoping for a slice of watermelon. Today, we're going to build a kite.

For this project, you will need:

• Plastic garbage bag or sheet of thin plastic
• 2 thin wood or bamboo sticks, 40 inches (100 cm)
• Cotton string or twine, at least 8 to 10 feet (2.4 to 3.0 m)
• Hot glue gun and glue
• A ruler
• Scissors
• Small knife
• Marker
