Magic Dust: Charades
Estimated Time: 15 minutes
In Chapter 9, Harriet has been collecting a book of charades. We think of charades as a game of pantomiming an action for someone else to guess what we are acting out. But in the Victorian age, charades were played differently. Today let's learn how to play charades.
For this project, you will need:
- Pencil
- Paper
- Friends or family to form teams
Follow the directions in the following article under the subtitle, Charades.
Victorian Games
Acting games all involve the players immitating certain actions and performing scenes for the other players. Some games involve a group of people getting up to perform something, and others involve a single person acting something out. They're entertaining to watch and good games for getting guests out of their chairs.
