Writing Project:

The writing project for this month is to write a motif paper. Read the following article about this type of paper.

How to Write a Motif Paper

A motif or theme paper allows you to focus on an aspect of a short story, play, or novel. By exploring a single motif or element, you are able to draw conclusions and offer insight into the motivation or message of a particular piece of literature.

For this week, look back at your list of motifs that you have found so far and consider what theme Vonnegut is trying to develop with each. Jot down ideas you have that might help you develop your paper.
