If you have never used dictation before:
- Dictation just means the student writes the copywork from memory while the teacher reads it aloud. The student should be familiar enough with the passage to spell, capitalize, and punctuate the passage accurately.
What examples of irony did you find?
Here are a few examples:
- In Book 1, chap 1 - The same punishment of death is handed out for all crimes, from minor petty theft to murder. Situational Irony
- In Book 1, Chap 4 - Mr. Lorry says, "..I am a man of business," meaning that he focuses on his job, not its emotions. But this is the exact opposite of Mr. Lorry. He is emotional about the situation he has to relay to Miss Manette. Verbal Irony.
