Resources Needed for the Magic Dust Projects:

You will need the following supplies for projects listed throughout the course. You do not have to complete each project. Choose those you think would be interesting or fun.

Project 1, Apple Tower Challenge

• 1-2 apples per person (choose firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp)
• Plastic knives or apple slicers (for safety)
• Toothpicks
• Paper plates (to work on)
• Ruler or measuring tape (to measure your tower)

Project 2, Ceremony of 12

• 11 friends or family members
• Slips of paper
• Small props or materials for each job’s hands-on challenge

Project 3, Watercolor Sailboat Painting

• Watercolor paper or thick art paper
• Watercolor paints (various shades of blue, white, and other colors you’d like for details)
• Brushes (a medium flat brush and a fine brush for details)
• Cup of water
• Paper towels
• Palette or small tray for mixing colors
• Pencil (for sketching)
